LETTER OF INTENT AND GRANT APPLICATION

After submission online, all Letters of Intent (LOIs) are reviewed by the Barbara McDowell Foundation’s Advisory Committee. Selected applicants are then invited to submit an online Grant Application for review by the Foundation’s Grant Committee for consideration of a grant award.

The Grant Committee reviews the applications and sends a subset of applications to the Foundation’s Board of Directors for review. The Board of Directors makes the final selection of the Grantees from that subset of applications. Notification of the grant award occurs in late September.

All interested applicants must submit a LOI using the online form below between June 1 - June 15. Selected applicants will be invited to submit an online grant application to be submitted no later than August 1. The full grant application appears below.

The 2025 Letter of Intent application is below. Submissions accepted between June 1 - June 15. Submissions received before June 1 will not be considered.

Only invited applicants will be able to submit a full grant application for consideration of funding. A copy of the full grant application to be used for reference only appears below.

Interested applicants should review the Grant Overview, Grant Criteria, Application Scoring Criteria, and Reporting and Grant Terms pages of the website before completing and submitting the online letter of intent application.
