After a brief hiatus for the winter holidays, the Barbara McDowell Foundation returns to work with several projects targeted at expansion of the Foundation’s financial and philanthropic reach. One of the first initiatives that the Foundation aims to accomplish in the new year is the publication of its first Annual Report.
The report will include the history of the Foundation, testimonials from former grantees, and a visual representation of the Foundation’s activities nationally. The report aims not only to publicize the amazing work of McDowell Foundation grantees but also to recruit similarly structured organizations to consider partnering with us in our dual mission of making grants to social justice organizations and litigating pro bono high impact civil rights cases.
In a similar vein, the Foundation hopes to expand its high impact pro bono litigation efforts by doing cases with law firms around the country in addition to its initial partner and co-founder, the Drinker Biddle law firm headquartered in Philadelphia.
With a lot in store for both the Foundation and the legal aid community at-large this year, we at the Barbara McDowell Foundation look forward to getting back to work funding, sharing, and supporting the cases upon which our mission is based. Should you wish to get in touch with us regarding either material for the Annual Report or with a potential high impact case, please do not hesitate to email us at email@example.com.
