WHY SUPPORT US

The Barbara McDowell Foundation fuels the efforts of nationally recognized nonprofits litigating cases for the better of our country and those individuals who don’t have the resources to do so.

Through a streamlined, yet deliberate grant application process, the Foundation vets the grantees to ensure our donors’ philanthropic dollars are well spent and directed at specific issues they are interested in supporting.

These various social justice and civil rights organizations have limited resources for fundraising, therefore the Foundation helps to provide valuable funding for them to pursue their missions.

We select nonprofits working directly on legal cases selected by a committee comprised of staff and board members. Your generosity allows us to ensure human, civil, and constitutional rights for all.
